Ingredients

Scale

Slider Assembly

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 heaping cups shredded chicken (rotisserie recommended)
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced

Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven. Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare the Rolls. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half and place the bottom halves evenly in a baking dish, creating a base layer for the sliders.
  3. Assemble the Sliders. Spread the shredded chicken evenly across the bottom rolls, then layer the sliced provolone cheese on top of the chicken. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese layer. Use a serrated knife to cut between each slider separating them for easy serving after baking.
  4. Make the Glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, and salt until fully combined to create a flavorful glaze.
  5. Glaze and Bake. Evenly spread the glaze over the tops and in between the sliders, coating well. Bake the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese has melted fully and the tops have turned golden brown.

Notes

  • You can substitute rotisserie chicken with leftover cooked chicken or shredded cooked turkey if preferred.
  • For a spicy kick, add a small amount of hot sauce or cayenne pepper to the glaze.
  • Make sure to cut between rolls before baking to ensure easy serving once cooked.
  • These sliders are best served warm but can be stored in an airtight container and reheated the next day.
