A simple and delicious Date Snickers recipe that combines sweet Medjool dates, creamy peanut butter, crunchy salted peanuts, and rich dark chocolate for a perfect bite-sized treat. This no-bake recipe is quick to prepare and ideal for a wholesome snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Dates

  • 6 Medjool dates, pitted

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 6 tsp smooth peanut butter
  • 20g salted peanuts, roughly chopped

Chocolate Topping

  • 60g dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare Dates: Remove the stones from the Medjool dates by carefully slicing them open and taking the pits out. Press each pitted date firmly into round cupcake silicon molds to create a sturdy base.
  2. Add Peanut Butter and Peanuts: Spoon one teaspoon of smooth peanut butter on top of each date in the mold. Sprinkle a few chopped salted peanuts over the peanut butter to add a crunchy texture.
  3. Drizzle Dark Chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate until smooth, then drizzle it generously over each date, covering the peanut butter and peanuts layer.
  4. Freeze: Place the filled molds in the freezer for about an hour to allow the chocolate to set and the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve: Remove the Date Snickers treats from the molds and serve chilled as a delightful snack or dessert.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft Medjool dates for the best texture and flavor.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter and omit the peanuts.
  • Ensure the dark chocolate is melted gently using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts to avoid burning.
  • Store leftover treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • These make great party snacks and can be customized with different nuts or chocolate types.
