Delicious and creamy Chicken Cream Cheese Croissants filled with a savory mixture of shredded chicken, cream cheese, and fresh vegetables. Perfect for an appetizer, snack, or light meal, these croissants are buttery, golden, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 2 Cups Shredded Chicken (cooked and shredded)
  • 1 8oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 bunch Green Onions, diced
  • ¼ cup Bell Pepper, chopped and diced
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoon Milk

Pastry

  • 2 Pop Cans Croissants (8 croissants per can, cooled and unrolled)
  • 1 Egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready when the croissants are prepared.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese and butter until combined. Add the milk; the mixture may be slightly chunky if cream cheese isn’t fully softened, which is fine. Stir in shredded chicken, diced green onions, chopped bell pepper, salt, and pepper until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Prepare Croissants: On a clean cutting board, unroll one can of croissants. Pinch along the perforated cut lines to form 4 large rectangular pieces from the 8 croissants. Repeat with the second can for a total of 8 rectangles.
  4. Fill Croissants: Place about ¼ cup of the chicken and cream cheese mixture in the center of each rectangle. Fold the corners up and pinch them firmly together to seal the filling inside.
  5. Apply Egg Wash (Optional): Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it lightly over the tops of each filled croissant to help achieve a golden-brown finish during baking.
  6. Bake: Arrange the filled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Bake in the preheated oven for 13-15 minutes, or until the croissants are puffed up and golden brown.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm as a savory snack or appetizer.

Notes

  • You can substitute cooked shredded turkey for chicken if desired.
  • If cream cheese is too firm, microwave it for 10-15 seconds to soften for easier mixing.
  • Optionally, add a pinch of garlic powder or paprika to the filling for extra flavor.
  • Use fresh croissants if available for best texture and flavor.
  • Egg wash is optional but recommended for a glossy, golden crust.
